Rental Terms and Conditions

Calmedi Rental Terms and Conditions

Please review these terms before submitting an online rental order.

Availability and Confirmation

Online rental orders are subject to equipment availability. A rental is not confirmed or reserved until a Calmedi team member contacts you.

Rental Period

Rental charges begin on the confirmed pickup or delivery date. The selected quantity represents the applicable rental period shown on the product page.

To request an extension, call 403-663-8777 at least two business days before the return due date. Extensions are subject to availability and confirmation by Calmedi.

Pickup and Delivery

Customers may select an available Calgary store pickup or delivery option during checkout.

Delivery and return pickup are separate one-way charges. Additional charges may apply for upper-floor or basement access. Two or three steps at the entrance do not incur the additional access charge.

To request an extension, call 403-663-8777 at least two business days before the return due date. Extensions are subject to equipment availability and confirmation by Calmedi.

If the equipment is not returned by the due date and an extension has not been confirmed, the rental will automatically renew for one additional week at the applicable weekly rental rate.

An extension request received after the original due date will not cancel or reduce the automatic one-week renewal charge. Any additional extension will begin after the automatic one-week renewal period and remains subject to availability and confirmation by Calmedi.

Equipment Use and Care

Customers are responsible for using rental equipment safely and according to the instructions provided. Please contact Calmedi immediately if equipment is damaged, lost, stolen or not working properly.

Do not repair, modify, lend or sub-rent Calmedi rental equipment.

Cleaning and Return Condition

Equipment and accessories must be returned clean and in the same general condition in which they were received, allowing for normal wear.

A minimum $25 cleaning charge may apply when additional cleaning is required. Raised toilet seats and commodes must be returned clean and sanitary. Used commode pails do not need to be returned.

Loss or Damage

Customers are responsible for damage to rental equipment or accessories caused by misuse, neglect, accidents or improper handling, excluding normal wear.

Damaged equipment will be inspected by Calmedi. The customer will be responsible for the repair cost, with the amount determined after inspection and assessment. If the equipment cannot reasonably be repaired, the customer may be responsible for its replacement cost.

Loss, theft, damage or malfunction must be reported to Calmedi promptly at 403-663-8777.

Large Equipment Rentals

Large equipment includes hospital beds, patient lifts, lift chairs and other equipment requiring delivery or setup.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate access information and ensuring that the delivery location has adequate space, a clear pathway and suitable electrical service where required.

Calmedi must be informed in advance about stairs, upper floors, basements, narrow entrances, elevators or other access restrictions. Additional delivery or access charges may apply.

Large equipment must not be moved to another address, disassembled, altered or repaired without approval from Calmedi.

The customer must provide safe access for delivery, setup, service and return pickup. If delivery or pickup cannot be completed because the site is inaccessible or not ready, an additional trip charge may apply.

Delivery, setup and return pickup charges are separate from the equipment rental charge.
