Product Summary:

One-Sided Stabilization of the Ankle

Bauerfeind MalleoLoc L®

During everyday activities such as walking or taking the stairs, an unstable ankle needs protection to prevent spraining. The MalleoLoc L orthosis stabilizes at the outside of the ankle, and fits in narrow shoes thanks to its slim design. Its anatomically shaped L shell and the securing straps are positioned on the foot and the lower leg in such a way that the natural heel-to-toe movement is not restricted.

  • Stabilizes at the outside of the ankle after injuries and in the event of ligament weakness
  • Ensures secure support in the shoe during everyday activities
  • Slim fit for sports and business shoes
  • The foot’s natural heelto-toe movement is not impaired

INDICATIONS

  • Conservative treatment of ankle sprains and ligament ruptures
  • Acute and chronic capsular ligament instabilities
  • Prevention of chronic ligament instability
  • Inflammatory and degenerative functional impairments

All supports are engineered to perform one or more functions, including:

  • Providing circular compression to aid circulation, promote healing and limit swelling
  • Helping to restrict medial/lateral motion
  • Anchoring the knee cap to help promote healing
  • Helping to relieve pain,
  • Limiting stress and stain over tendons, ligaments and nerves around the joint

Solid.

Perfect for that after-the-boot stage where you’re getting active but real support. A lot of ankle braces don’t do much, this one is mechanically sound and well-designed, especially for anterior fibi-talus ligament straings, pretty much blocks load on that ligament.
